Brooke Parkhurst '02 is host of the James Beard House, as well as a food writer for ABCNews.com. She is the author of Belle in the Big Apple, a novel with recipes.
Alan Michael Parker is the author of elephants and butterflies and five other books. His awards include a Pushcart Prize and the Lucille Medwick Award from the Poetry Society of America.
He directs the creative writing program at Davidson.
