Personal Challenges

Each month you will receive a Personal Challenge, one that will correspond closely with a WildcatWellness Power Hour. Each Personal Challenge is  realistic and attainable for every regular Davidson College employee. There are incentives! All employees who complete a Personal Challenge  will be eligible for that month’s incentive, valued at approximately $100!

This Month's Challenge

May:   Start with Humor
May's Wildcat Wellness Personal Challenge should start our creative juices flowing and make one another chuckle. Complete this month's challenge, return it to lyhennighausen@davidson.edu  Check out the cartoon and make up your own caption!

Past Challenges

October:   Where in the World in Debbie Witkin?
Congratulations to October Challenge Winner Terry Gantt from Building Services!  Terry correctly identified nurse practitioner Deb Witkin to win 2 tickets to the Davidson Men's Basketball game in Charlotte and a $50.00 gift certificate to Brixx!

November:  Better to Give than to Receive
The November Personal Challenge winner is Ruth Ault! A $100.00 contribution was made in her name to the North Mecklenburg Child Development Association. Thanks to everyone who participated in November—we’re doing amazing things to make our communities wonderful places to live and work.

December: How Low Can You Go: Navigating Prescription Drug Costs
Congratulations to Marie Reedy! Marie answered the question, "Why do you think people do not fill and/or finish their prescriptions?" Her name was put into a drawing and she won a Personal Training Package with Craig Swieton, Davidson College Strength and Conditioning Coach.

January, 2009: How much do you know about exercise?  Take the brief but informative quiz and send in your answers to be added to the drawing for a $100 gift certificate at Dick's Sporting Goods. Congratulations to Lydia Lorenzin!

March:  Fast Food Eating
Our days are filled, that’s a fact. But why fill yourself with fast food when it’s possible to make healthy meals quick and easy? Why not stop by the grocery store and get a salad from the salad bar with salsa or low-fat dressing instead of the drive-through? Take the quiz about fast food eating (the answers may surprise you!). Turn your answers in Lynn or by inter-office mail.
