Patrick is currently a freelance musician and educator throughout the Southeast. He has performed for such notable venues and festivals as Grove Park Inn Jazz Festival, American Bandmasters Association, and North Texas Jazz Festival. Patrick has been fortunate to share the stage with many incredible musicians, most notably the North Carolina Symphony, Aretha Franklin, and as a member of the Piedmont Jazz Collective, an 11-piece modern big band, has been a featured performer on Regent Cruise Lines. Patrick can also be found performing in theatre pit orchestras playing saxophone, clarinet, and flute. Some of his past theatre performances include "Smokey Joe's Cafe," "West Side Story," "Oklahoma," "Annie Get Your Gun," "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum," "Damn Yankees," and "Crazy For You." In addition to his duties at Davidson College, Patrick is also an adjunct faculty member at Lenoir-Rhyne University, where he directs the jazz ensemble. Patrick currently performs with the Asheville Jazz Orchestra and the Lenoir Saxophone Ensemble, among others, and is a member of ASCAP.
