What is a PIN? Is there a difference between a long distance PIN and a calling card PIN?

A PIN is a personal identification number used for placing telephone calls. A seven digit PIN is assigned to faculty and staff for placing long distance and fee based calls. If you also have a Qwest or STC calling card,  a personal four digit PIN in addition to the ten digit calling card number is needed to place a call.
