Student organizations can have their information published on the web in a variety of ways. The Student Activities Office maintains an alphabetical and a categorical listing of all registered organizations and their contact information on the web. This information is based off the description and contact information provided when the organization is registered each year.
If an organization is interested in posting more information or creating their own website there are two options:
Student staff is available to create a basic webpage for any student organization. This page will include more information about the organization, a list of their current leadership, and a list of upcoming events. If a simple webpage will meet your needs please contact the Assistant Director for Programs, Ashley Owen.
Server space is available at no charge for any student organization that would like to design a more elaborate website using web-design software such as Dreamweaver. The website must meet certain standards including content that appropriately reflects the organization and Davidson College to the world, a link back to the Davidson College home page, and up-to-date contact information. For questions about or advice regarding creating a custom website, please contact the Assistant Director for Programs, Ashley Owen.
Once the website is created, please contact Mike Goode to request server space and access. Once the website is uploaded to the server a link will be established to it from the appropriate Student Activities' webpages.
Links to out-of-date websites and websites displaying inappropriate content will be removed. Any questions about the content of websites should be directed to the leaders of the organization and/or the organization's advisor.
