Instructions

For a single record,

1. View the article and click on the "Export citation" link in the upper right-hand corner of the document image viewer.
2. A new window will open with the citation displaying in tagged format.  Copy all of this text.
3. Go into RefWorks, and from the "References" menu, choose "Import."
4. For the "Import Filter/Data Source," select "RIS Format."
5. Choose "Multiple Databases" as the database.
6. Choose "Import Data from the Following Text" and paste the text that you copied.
7. Click on the "Import" button.

For multiple records,

1. Mark the records that you want by selecting "Add to my collection" for each one. This option appears on search results pages as well as  in the upper right-hand corner of article view pages.
2. Click on "View My Collection" in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
3. From the "My Collection" page, click on "Export Citations" in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
4. A new window will open with the citations displaying in tagged format.  Copy all of this text.
5. Go into RefWorks, and from the "References" menu, choose "Import."
6. For the "Import Filter/Data Source," select "RIS Format."
7. Choose "Multiple Databases" as the database.
8. Choose "Import Data from the Following Text" and paste the text that you copied.
9. Click on the "Import" button.
