Joel Shapiro: Wood/Painted Wood Opening Reception: Lecture by the artist in the Semans Lecture Hall on Thursday, January 17, 7:00 pm with a reception to follow. Seating is limited. On View: January 18 - February 29, 2008

Joel Shapiro is considered one of the leading figures in American sculpture. This exhibition will draw together wood and painted wood sculptures from the last decade. On view will be works that exemplify the artist’s tireless aesthetic investigation and refinement of form. A full-color catalogue will accompany this exhibition.

Joel Shapiro is also featured in the Davidson College Sculpture Garden.
