James ("Jamo") was a Music major in the class of 2008 with a minor in Chemistry and a pre-medical concentration. He was born and raised in Tarrytown, New York, a suburb of New York City.
James has played percussion in some way, shape, or form since he was a toddler. He took private lessons for 10 years before Davidson and played with both the Davidson College Symphony Orchestra and the Jazz Ensemble over his 4 years at Davidson. James took piano lessons with Dr. Cooper and taught himself how to play the guitar.
Outside of music, some of James’s interests include rugby, cooking, fine wines, and relaxing in hot tubs. Ultimately, James wishes to pursue a career in plastic surgery, but his passion for music will never die. He is very grateful to the Davidson Music Department and his major advisor Mauro Botelho for all of their guidance and support.
