Caitlin McCarville

Caitlin McCarville was a music major who hoped to attend graduate school for vocal performance and eventually pursuing opera full-time. She was awarded the J. Estes Millner Scholarship and studied voice with Jacque Culpepper. She was a member of Concert Choir and participated in the Delilahs, Davidson's female a capella group, for three years until she decided to put all her time into studying opera. She routinely performed in Liederabend, as well as Musical Interludes, at Davidson College. She has performed in H.M.S. Pinafore as well as the spring musical, Company, and completed the role of Mabel in Pirates of Penzance.

During her summers at Davidson, she engaged in several different career paths including interning at Merrill Lynch, as well as interning for Don Buchwald & Associates (a talent agency in NYC: commercials, theatre, voice-overs, and youth). The summer before her senior year was the most fitting for the young aspiring opera singer. She found herself on the upper west side of the big apple singing her heart out at the Manhattan School of Music Summer Vocal Institute.

Caitlin found herself on stage quite a bit at Princeton High School, performing in Chamber Choir, Concert Choir, a co-ed a capella group called Around Eight, and several high school musicals. Caitlin studied voice throughout high school at Westminster Conservatory and also attended a summer program at the Boston Conservatory Vocal Institute.

As an "Army Brat," Caitlin has lived in Charleston, S.C., Lansing, K.S., Schofield Barracks, H.I., Sydney, Australia, and Cranbury, N.J. She loves to travel and when not singing, enjoys skiing, scuba diving, chocolate, and getting to know people.
