Davidson College is committed to protecting the environment through waste reduction and recycling. Recycling is now even easier at Davidson, since it became possible to  recycle plastics #1-7 (except for 6).

This year, Davidson was extremely proud to report that Dining Services diverted 77% of its waste from the landfill by composting all its pre and post consumer food scraps and recycling.   In fact, the College' main cafeteria, Vail Common's, represented 18.5% of the recycling effort on campus.
