A music major from Winston-Salem, NC, Michael Spangler played viola with the Davidson College Symphony Orchestra and sang in the Concert Choir. As a major, Michael especially enjoyed learning music theory. After graduating, he felt he could potentially teach music in a Christian school.
Besides music, he was particularly fond of engaging conversations and even an occasional argument. He loved to read the nametags on the trees on campus and learned to recognize them by sight. He also loved to work with farmers and to enjoy the fruits of good agriculture. He even spent a summer working on a small family farm in Yadkinville.
Aside from performing with ensembles, one of Michael's favorite pastimes included singing hymns.
