The competition was held at Fort Pickett, Virginia from 26-28 Nov.  The 49er BN unit competed against teams representing the other 21 schools that comprise the 4th Brigade, Eastern Region, U.S. Army Cadet Command.  The competition consisted of the following events:  the Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT); written, day, and night land navigation courses; rifle marksmanship; hand grenade assault course; tactical scenario; 6-mile ruck march.  The team worked hard thoroughout the grueling competition and achieved 7th place overall.
