Adjunct Faculty - Yoga (Vinyasa)
Maryline Roux was born in the Ivory Coast but grew up in France where she was an accomplished gymnast training and competing at the national level.
Since moving to the United States in 1993, Maryline has continued to enjoy success in athletics. In 1998 she earned a green belt in Tae-Kwando and in 2003, at the age of 37, began training for triathlons. In 2005, Maryline competed in the International Triathlon Union, Honolulu World Championships and later that same year finished in 3rd place (Women's 30-39) in the North Carolina Endurance Development Series.
Most recently, Maryline earned 3 medals at the 37th Annual Southeastern Masters Track and Field Championships held earlier this year in Raleigh, NC.
Outside of her personal training, Maryline teaches yoga here at Davidson and also holds a USA Triathlon Coach Level 1 certification. She has 3 sons and avidly follows their athletic development and achievements.
