In addition to organizing and managing the Intramural and Club sports for more than 2 years, Derek is an integral part of the Davidson College Day Camp at the Lake. For 7 years he has used his BSU varsity swimming experience to teach young people how to enjoy water activities safely.

When he’s not teaching campers how to canoe and sail at the lake or organizing Davidson students into Flickerball leagues, Derek likes to mountain bike and water ski. From April to September, if you can’t find Derek, odds are he’s outside doing something physical.
