Inaugural Weekend

Several days of steady rain put a happy dent in the region’s severe drought, but also forced inauguration planners to move events under cover. The post-ceremony picnic luncheon was relocated into Knobloch Tennis Center and a large tent on an adjoining athletic field. Saturday morning’s weather began dismally as workers arrived to prepare the luncheon, but by the conclusion of the ceremony skies were clear blue.
