Computer and Software Training

Davidson does not offer computer and software training on campus.  But there are a variety of training and learning options available.

OFFICE SUITE AND GENERAL COMPUTING

The college is recommending Metrotek Learning as a provider of Desktop Applications and Computer Applications On-line Training.  Courses costs vary but will be charged per person and billed to individual departments.  But proper training can improve work efficiency and accuracy.

The advantages of Metrotek include:

  • Pre-assessment test to determine what exercises are necessary
  • Post-assessment to gauge learning
  • Printable courseware
  • Self-paced online instruction
  • Live instructor assistance (in person or by phone)
  • Location and scheduling flexibility

Davidson employees may choose from two course delivery options--on site at Metrotek (located in South Charlotte) or remotely (at your own desk!).
