What's Black & Red and Read All Over?
News hounds interested in staying abreast of all Davidson's town and gown developments might consider a couple of online sources beyond the college's homepage.  The Davidsonian is now available online at www.thedavidsonian.com and town affairs are reported and discussed daily in an independent blog, www.DavidsonNews.net.

Occidental Tourists
Intrepid Davidson students traveled the globe last summer experiencing new cultures and assisting worthy causes.  Many of them took the time to report on adventures, such as visiting relatives in Afghanistan, helping the disadvantaged in Charlotte, studying human bones in Poland, preserving Ecuadorian forests, and studing theatre in Italy.

Wish You Were Here
Homecoming brought together crowds of alumni, young and old. The Classes of 1997 and 2002 were the most numerous, but proud representatives of the Classes of 1942, 1947, and 1952 also celebrated their collegiate experiences and caught up with their classmates and friends.  Enjoy pictures that were snapped throughout the weekend, and buy the ones you like best at the Davidson's Homecoming photo gallery.. 

Who's New
The French, English, History, Education, and Mathematics Departments all welcome new assistant professors into tenure-track positions this semester.  They come from far and wide—read about where they've studied and worked before Davidson, as well as their academic interests.
