Fall Grants

Stone Fund
This Stone Fund, established in memory of Robert Stone, provides Davidson students with the opportunity to design environmental service projects that combine academic and personal interests. The strongest candidates are those who design a project that synthesizes their various interests and passions into one meaningful, challenging environmental service experience.

Jo Anne Shackelford Memorial Grant
The Davidson College Office Support Staff will award $200 annually for a community service project involving the local community.  Applications will be evaluated on the extent to which they embody the spirit of Jo Anne Shackelford - specifically, how they involve and benefit youth.

Sunshine Lady Grant
The Sunshine Lady Foundation provides two $10,000 grants to Davidson college each year so that students can author grants in support of  a local non-profit agency with which they have a relationship.  The mission of the Sunshine Lady Foundation is to invest in programs dedicated to providing opportunities for the advancement of education, well-being and new life choices for disadvantaged people, with special empathy for the working poor and families in crisis.  Click here to view the Sunshine Lady Grant process.

**For more information on these grants, as well as how to apply for them, visit the Community Service Office, located on the 4th floor of the Alvarez College Union.
