Regularly teaches economic principles, intermediate macroeconomic theory, mathematical economics, economic development, and economic growth & sustainable development. Recent research includes papers on sustainable development and indentured child labor.
Serves as president of Nepal Orphans Home, a 501(c)3 public charity, with operations in Nepal. Coauthor with Prof. Clark Ross of Principles of Economics: An Analytical Approach (West, 1993) and Economic Development: Theories, Evidence, and Policies (Dryden Press, 1997), and author of Population Growth and Socioeconomic Progress in Less Developed Countries (Praeger, 1988) and Using Mathematics in Economic Analysis (Prentice Hall, 2002) .
