The inauguration of Davidson's seventeenth president, Thomas W. Ross, took place Saturday morning, October 27, 2007. 

The event occured on Family Weekend, allowing relatives of Davidson students an opportunity to meet President Ross and his spouse, Susan. The inauguration also provided a backdrop for the many athletic and arts events that students traditionally stage for visiting families
