Courses: A Unique Opportunity
Although many universities and medical schools have programs in medical humanities and/or bioethics, Davidson College is one of the first liberal arts colleges to offer such a program.
In order to complete the requirements for the Medical Humanities Concentration, students must take six courses, including two core requirements and four electives. Students are strongly encouraged to take one class that offers an applied experience in a health care setting. Students are invited to suggest courses for their concentration and their major that are not included in this list. Permissions must be obtained by the Director or Associate Director of Medical Humanities.
