Welcome to the Davidson College Recreational Sports website. The mission of the Davidson College Recreational Sports program is to provide a variety of leisure time sports and activities that will enhance the students overall academic experience and meet the diverse needs of the students, faculty, staff and college community.
Recreational Sports at Davidson College includes: - Aquatics
- Open lap swimming
- American Red Cross Water Safety Instruction and lifeguard training
- Intramural Sports
- Fall, winter, and spring offerings
- More than 75% of students participate
- A & B leagues provide opportunities for all skill levels
- Club Sports
- Over 20 student-run club sports
- Opportunity to practice and play on Division I facilities
- Davidson College Lake Campus
- 110 acre waterfront property on Lake Norman
- Beach and picnic areas
- Enjoy sailing, kayaking, water-skiing or just relaxing on the peninsula
- Davidson College Day Camp at the Lake
- Group and individual fitness classes are available but offered through the Physical Education Department in conjunction with the Davidson College Wildcat Wellness Program
