Policy OverviewDavidson College offers all of its regular employees working in a regular position (budgeted for 1,000 hours or more per year), the ability to insure same gender domestic partners under various benefit programs, in accordance with the terms and conditions of such plans. These programs currently include: In addition, employees may apply non-plan benefits to same sex domestic partners in the same manner as that currently applicable to legal spouses. Such non-plan benefits include: Registration for EligibilityIn order to receive College benefits relating to a domestic partner, the employee must register that individual with Human Resources. It is then the employee's responsibility to notify HR if the domestic partner relationship terminates. Such notice must be given within 31 days of the end of the relationship.
