Turn left at the top of the exit ramp onto Griffith Street. ** Follow the Directions from Griffith Street listed below From Atlanta Take I-85 North to Charlotte and then merge onto I-77 North. Take Exit 30 toward DAVIDSON / DAVIDSON COLLEGE. Turn right at the top of the exit ramp onto Griffith Road. ** Follow the Directions from Griffith Street listed below From Greensboro, Raleigh, Durham, or Chapel Hill Take I-85 South to I-40 West. In Statesville take I-77 South. Travel approximately 20 miles to Exit 30 toward DAVIDSON / DAVIDSON COLLEGE. Turn left at the top of the exit ramp onto Griffith Street. ** Follow the Directions from Griffith Street listed below ** Directions from Griffith Street Travel approximately one mile and immediately after crossing the railroad tracks take a right on to Jackson Street. After turning onto Jackson Street there will be a large brick building directly to your left. This building is the Belk Visual Arts Center where the Van Every/Smith Galleries are located. Take your next left into the parking lot. Park and proceed to the front of the building (faces Main Street). The galleries are located directly within the front entrance of the Visual Arts Center. FACILITIES AND ACCESSIBILITY: On either side of the front entrance to The Katherine and Tom Belk Visual Arts Center are the William H. Van Every, Jr. and Edward M. Smith Galleries, providing over 2,000 square feet for exhibitions. The College's 2,800-piece permanent collection is housed in climate-controlled quarters. The Van Every/ Smith Galleries are dedicated to facilitating all guests with their visit to the exhibitions and permanent collection. On request, tours and information about the galleries, exhibition, and collection can be tailored to visitors in an effort to provide the most inclusive environment.
