Chorale

Chorale

The Davidson College Chorale is an auditioned group of singers made up of undergraduate students from a variety of disciplines. Organized in 2007, Chorale presents at least two concerts each semester and provides music for the Christmas Vespers Service and other campus events.

It is also the touring choir for the Davidson College Department of Music and has toured in the United States during the College's winter breaks. The 2011–12 Winter Tour traveled to Atlanta, Birmingham, New Orleans and Chattanooga. In the winter of 2010–11, it made its first European tour, presenting concerts in Prague, Salzburg, and Vienna.

It has received invitations to perform for off-campus institutions in the Carolinas, including concerts with UNC-Charlotte Chorale and with the Oratorio Singers of Charlotte and the Charlotte Symphony.

The Chorale is conducted by Davidson's new Director of Choral Activities, Dr. Christopher Gilliam.
