Van Every, Jr. Gallery Faculty Exhibition: Herb Jackson, Cort Savage, Russ Warren September 7 - October 10 Across State Lines: Drawing from the Southeast Four artists living and working in the Southeast-Larry Jens Anderson, Georgia; Clive King, Florida; Dana Moore, North Carolina; and Joe Walters, South Carolina-use drawing through a variety of mediums and techniques to realize a multitude of concepts October 14 - December 8 Adam Straus New York artist Adam Straus has built a career on the landfills and dung heaps of American culture. A native of Florida, Mr. Straus's landscapes are filtered through a lens of black humor to evoke a genuine fear that humankind is killing the environment and inevitably itself with pollution, overpopulation and rampant commercial development. January 24 - March 3 Deidre Prosen Ms. Prosen has been the Visiting Assistant Professor of Art at Davidson College for the past two years. October 6 - 29 Dieter Roth: Selections from the Collection November 1 - December 8 John Monteith This exhibition will coincide with Mr. Monteith's work featured in Blind Spot magazine. His work makes use of the formal vocabulary of old high school and college yearbook portraits, which he appropriates and manipulates into a conceptually challenging blend of collage and abstraction.
