Pre-College Enrichment has two functions:
The first goal is intended to acclimate students to college life at Davidson. Students are introduced to coping strategies to better manage academic and social pressures through interactive presentations covering time & stress management, concepts of writing, and goal setting and successful study skills workshops. Second, Pre-College Enrichment is designed to help students get acquainted with campus resource personnel. Students will have the opportunity to meet and interact with Davidson faculty, administrators, and staff. In addition, students have opportunities to bond with their peers through teambuilding activities.
The dates for PCEP 2013 are August 18th through August 21st. Upon arrival on August 18th all first year students will be moving into their permanent 2013-2014 residence hall assignment. In addition, all athletes are able, to and often, encouraged to participate in this program by their coaches. Bonner Scholars are also able to attend PCEP and do their Bonner Orientation. PCEP is not a requirement to participate in S.T.R.I.D.E.; however, it is highly encouraged. Should you have further questions about this particular portion of the program do not hesitate to contact either of the program advisors. Dr. Ernest Jeffries or Dr. Tae-Sun Kim.
