"Having a community of people with whom I can connect and talk about issues that are important to me has been so helpful during the first semester." |

If you are a first year Davidson student interested in leadership, Chidsey Fellows may be for you! This four year leadership development program offers participants an opportunity to develop a strong foundation for a life of leadership.
Each year, up to twenty first year students are selected for the Chidsey Leadership Fellows program. These students become part of a community dedicated to developing outstanding leadership, cooperation and responsibility in its members and the campus.

We define leadership as the ability to empower and inspire others to work together for the common good. Chidsey Fellows explore many different leadership practices and ultimately develop an approach to leadership that reflects their individual strengths and interests.
At the end of their four years in the program, Chidsey Leadership Fellows leave Davidson uniquely equipped to face the challenges ahead. They understand how to catalyze change in their communities and how to create value wherever they work. Chidsey Leadership Fellows are well prepared to lead inspiring and satisfying lives of leadership and service.
