Congratulations to Burkhard Henke and Lisa Worthington '02! Lisa, a former German  major and JYA student who went on to earn an MAT from UNC Chapel Hill and is now teaching at Northwest Guilford High School, was elected Vice President of the North Carolina chapter of the American Association of Teachers of German. Dr. Henke acceded automatically to the NCAATG presidency after serving as Vice President for the past two years. Both will be in office through 2009.

AATG has been serving German teachers at all levels since 1926. It currently has some 6000 registered members.
