Gamut Dance Company
The Gamut Dance Company is Davidson's student-run, audition-based dance company, with a mission to provide technically trained dancers the opportunity to continue performing at a high level. We focus on artistry and integrity of choreography and performance while promoting awareness of dance as a performing art. Founded in 2005, Gamut is made up of around 10 dancers every year. We produce one annual performance during the spring semester but dance in various others throughout the year, showcasing both student and professional choreography. Although we are student-run, Gamut works with 2 professional mentors and our faculty advisor, Dr. Alison Bory. Membership in the company requires attendance at a minimum of 2 Dance Ensemble sponsored classes and all rehearsals. For more information contact Sarah Lanners.

Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA)
The Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) aims to enhance Davidson College's understanding of issues related to sexuality.  The GSA represents those members of the Davidson College community who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (GLBTQ) as well as straight allies.  Those involved include students, faculty, and staff.  The GSA advocates for increasing awareness and acceptance of GLBTQ issues in all aspects of campus life.  The GSA also works to provide a safe and supportive environment for all GLBTQ members of the Davidson College community so that all may feel as comfortable as possible in their respective sexualities.  Finally, the GSA aspires to be entirely reflective of and responsive to the range of needs and identities in Davidson College's queer community.  For more information contact Jamie Durling.
