Professor Thomas's specialties include the history of India and China, the life of Gandhi, and Indian, Chinese, and Japanese architecture, sculpture, and painting. He is the author of Tiruvengadu Bronzes (Cre-A, 1986). As the director of the South Asian Studies Program, Dr. Thomas is closely involved with the Davidson College Semester-in-India and Nepal Program.
