Classes Cadets attend a military science (MIL) class each week. All classes are conducted at Davidson College. Leadership Labs Cadets attend lab each Tuesday from 1315 - 1615. These are key training events that involve each cadet on campus. Instruction is centered around tactical training scenarios and land navigation courses. Davidson cadets travel to Charlotte twice each semester to conduct joint labs with UNC-Charlotte cadets. Physical Training (PT) Cadets conduct PT as a group each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning from 0615 - 0730. Cadets that need further development attend a special PT session on Thursday afternoons. All PT sessions are conducted at Davidson College. Field Training Exercises (FTX) Once per semester the Charlotte-area ROTC programs come together to conduct a weekend training exercise at a nearby military installation. Military Ball We participate in a Military Ball each February. This is an opportunity for all cadets in the Charlotte area to come together for a night of fun and camaraderie. Optional Events Cadets have the option of participating in many groups and activities. Warrior Forge Cadets attend this course at Ft. Lewis, WA the summer between their junior and senior year. Summer Opportunities Cadets apply for the opportunity to attend Army schools and internships. Schools include Airborne, Air Assault, and Mountain Warfare. Internships include platoon leader training or professional (medical or law) programs both in the United States and abroad.
