At the end of each academic year, a group of students, staff and faculty participate in an internationa l service project. Students apply to take part in the trip and participate in a semester-long curriculum prior to departure.
The Summer 2009 trip is organized through Amizade and will be to Santarem, Brazil. Trip Details
Dates: May 18th - May 28th, 2009
Leaders: Kristin Booher, Director of Bonner Scholars
Costs: In addition to cost associated with getting a passport ($97) participants need to pay for a tourist Visa, immunizations and are asked to contribute $200 to the cost of the trip. The Community Service Office will pay for all other costs (e.g., airfare, meals, accommodations, in country travel, etc) associated with the trip except for personal spending money. - Applications are due to Kristin Booher in the Community Service Office by January 23rd. After an initial application screening, students may be contacted for an interview.
