Amnesty International The mission of Amnest International at Davidson is to educate and spread awareness about human rights abuses around the world. It is the responsibility of students to be educated on these matters and then to try to remedy the situations. Davidson College Democrats The Davidson College Democrats pledges itself to support the philosophy and candidates of the Democratic Party. Furthermore, the Davidson College Democrats declares its intention to support all efforts to increase the participation of college students in Democratic affairs. To these ends, the Davidson College Democrats shall educate and train its members so that they may be better able to: educate students about the philosophy of the Democratic Party, assist in the election of local, state, and national Democratic candidates, affect political change on the local, state, and national level, and register others to vote. International Justice Mission Through partnership with the national organization, this campus chapter of IJM is centered on involving the Davidson community in the movement against human trafficking and providng the campus and town with tangible opportunities to become more aware of and invested in this international issue. Just Peace Just Peace's weekly meetings provide a safe and supportive environment to discuss current events and practice compassionate listening concerning issues of peace. Issues include the following: foreing affairs, American domestic and foreign policy, local news, and religious and gender issues.
