Congratulations to Drs. Denham and McCulloh whose co-edited volume W. G. Sebald: History - Memory - Trauma recently appeared in the series Interdisciplinary German Cultural Studies of prestigious German publisher Walther de Gruyter. The series presents innovative scientific papers concerning all topics of German Studies, including literary studies, (contemporary) history and the arts.

The book is the result of an international symposium held here on campus in 2003 which brought together scholars from around the globe to discuss the work of the late novelist, poet, and essayist W. G. Sebald (1944-2001). The contributions of this anthology examine Sebald as narrator and pensive observer of history. It includes a previously unpublished interview with him from 1998.
