Write a class letter

Write a solicitation letter to classmates prior to ALC (Alumni Leadership Conference) with the help of the Annual Fund Volunteer Coordinator and Class Chair Handbook.

Thank You Calls and Notes (optional)

Call classmates or write personal notes to thank them for their Annual Fund gifts for the previous fiscal year.

Make your own gift

Asking your classmates to support Davidson is easier to do if you’ve already committed to do so yourself. Please make a gift or pledge to the Annual Fund before Homecoming.

Attend Alumni Leadership Conference (ALC)

This includes both the leadership thank you dinner as well as the Annual Fund training session over Homecoming Weekend.

 March – May

Phone Solicitations (optional)

Class Chairs are asked to make 10-30 calls on behalf of the Annual Fund. You will contact classmates who have not given in the current fiscal year by using the e-sheet to make calls. Training will be available at ALC. Class Chairs will receive a list of classmates in the early spring. Call your classmates and ask them to make a gift or pledge to the Annual Fund. During this conversation, please ask for updated address, phone, or business information, as we rely on our volunteers to help keep our alumni records up to date.

Email Solicitations (optional and/or as needed)

Email classmates to enlist their support for Davidson’s Annual Fund. Remember to update Davidson with classmates’ new contact information. Collect and report new email addresses, phone numbers, and mailing addresses.
