Davidson College "encourages student engagement with other cultures through domestic and international studies."  In addition to local service opportunities, the Community Service Office provides direct service experiences throughout the United States and abroad through the Alternative Breaks Program and the annual international service trip.  Participants learn about social issues, different cultures and how to work as a team for social change.
