Visiting Professor of French, Dr. Buckley first came to Davidson in 1982 to conduct apprentice teacher training workshops. He has coordinated those sessions every year since with the exception of 1992, when he  directed  the Junior Year Abroad program in Montpellier and 1996, 2007, and 2008, when he was the resident director of the College's program in Tours. What started as an academic interest in theater has developed over the years into hands-on participation as actor and director of dozens of college, community and professional productions.
