
(B.A. Duke 1967, Ph.D. Cornell 1971), Professor of French, has taught at Davidson since 1971. He has studied in Paris and worked in Montpellier, France. His research interests include poetry, critical thinking and language, the visual arts and poetry, and gender differences in literature. He teaches all levels of language and courses in symbolist, cubist, surrealist, modernist, and women's poetry as well as film.
