Goethe Institute Testing
Twice a year the department offers Goethe Institute-certified German language testing for Davidson students and others not affiliated with the College. Professors Denham and Henke are certified examiners for the Goethe Institute New York. 
For Davidson Students: Requirements for the German major include passing the German university language entrance examination, either the current Test DaF (4x4, TDN), the Kleines Sprachdiplom, the Zentrale Oberstufenprüfung, or the DSH 2 (Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang ausländischer Studienbewerber) at Berlin or any other fully accredited university in a German-speaking country.
