Book Review Sources

To find a book review,

  1. Determine the book’s publication date. If you don't have the publication date, search the Library Catalog or WorldCat, or ask a librarian for help.

  2. From the "Popular Fiction & Nonfiction" or "Scholarly Books" pages listed below, select appropriate indexes or databases to search. Be sure that the indexes cover the time period in which the book was published.

  3. Finally, remember that not every book is reviewed.

Note: to locate criticism and analysis of a literary work, consult one of the sources listed on the Indexes & Databases pages, especially those for Classics, English, French, German, Russian, or Spanish.
