The Program
Davidson College offers an intensive two-course credit program abroad with Mundo Lengua and La Universidad de Cádiz. These course credits can be applied towards the major or minor in Spanish.  Coursework is preceded by a week of travel through Spain.  Upon arrival in Cádiz, students live with host families chosen by Mundo Lengua and approved by the Davidson director in residence.  The four hour morning academic classes are enriched by afternoon cultural activities and excursions.  In 2010, the Resident Director will be Professor Lola Santamaria.

The program is open to Davidson and non-Davidson students, with Davidson students having priority.  Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and having completed SPA 102. Freshmen through seniors are eligible to apply.  Students will be placed at the advanced or intermediate level and will take the appropriate grammar, composition, and culture courses.
