Preparing for Ministry

“Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” (Isaiah 6:8)

Davidson College has a long tradition of preparing men and women for ordained ministry.
Today the college continues that legacy through an active Preministerial Committee and numerous scholarships to encourage students to consider vocations to service in the church.

The Preministerial Committee, composed of faculty and staff, brings students together to explore their sense of vocation, hosts on-campus visits by representatives of theological schools from across the country, and organizes an annual Theological Education Day.

Members of the committee welcome the chance to talk with students about their sense of call, the process of applying to theological school, and the various forms that ministry can take.  The current committee chair is Professor Greg Snyder.
