Davidson College Affiliated Study Abroad Programs

The following programs are ones in which Davidson College is affiliated. All of these programs are approved so that the student receives academic credit.  Students are advised to attend a General Information Session, offered twice weekly throughout the academic year, to learn the process necessary to participate in a non-Davidson program.

Fall Semester in Beijing, China with Wake Forest/SASASAAS
This program is designed for students who wish to begin, or continue Chinese language study while taking two area studies courses in Chinese culture and society (taught in English). This program combines classroom instruction with a rich variety of extracurricular activities that allows students to take advantage of living in a country that is not only one of the world's oldest civilizations, but one of today's fastest growing economies. Offered every fall.
Fall or Spring Semester with the Intercollegiate Center for Classical Studies in Rome
Davidson College is a member of a consortium of colleges and universities that provide undergraduate students with an opportunity to study ancient history and archaeology, Greek and Latin literature, and ancient art in Rome. Duke University, through its Office of Study Abroad, administers the program. Offered every year.
Semester or Full Year in Stockholm, Sweden with the Swedish Program
Davidson College is a member of a consortium of colleges and universities that provide undergraduate students with an opportunity to study in Sweden. This program poses a compelling intellectual and cultural challenge: to develop an understanding of how Sweden has addressed poetical, social, artistic, and economic issues relevant to all advanced societies. Offered every year.
Semester or Summer with the School for Field Studies
Davidson College is affiliated with the School for Field Studies (SFS) enabling students to participate in program studying environmental issues. SFS program concentrate on international environmental issues at one of five SFS centers located in: Turks and Caicos Islands; Baja California, Mexico; Costa Rica; Queensland, Australia; and Kenya. Offered every year.
