What is the Parent Fund?
Over a thousand parents give each year to the Annual Fund, a vital source of unrestricted revenue for the college. The Parent Fund is part of the Annual Fund and is supported by non-alumni parents. Gifts from these parents influence the lives of all students and support the heart of Davidson by providing scholarships, library resources, technological upgrades, athletic equipment and much more.
In fiscal year 2012, Parents were up to the challenge!
The result: Parents raised $1,514,400—exceeding our goal by $14,000.
"Davidson is extremely well run. I suspect that is so because you have an entire faculty and staff committed, each in their own way, to making the place personal. I could write a book about examples where Davidson's personal touch made the difference. Having experienced Davidson, as well as a prestigious but far less personal institution of higher education, there is no comparison. In the end, it all comes down to people, and how we treat each other. Davidson lives that truism day in and day out."

In fiscal year 2012, the Parent Fund raised $1,514,400 in expendable funds for Davidson College. Additionally, non-alumni parents donated a total of $3,725,969 for all endowed and capital projects.
More than 489 parent households joined Ne Ultra Society in 2012, and all total more than 1940 current and past parents made gifts to Davidson College in 2012.

Living Endowment
Gifts to the Living Endowment are unrestricted and support the college's greatest needs.
The Davidson Trust
Gifts to The Davidson Trust support Davidson's commitment to meet 100% percent of demonstrated need, replacing loans with grants in all financial aid packages.
Davidson Athletic Foundation
Gifts to the Davidson Athletic Foundation provide scholarship and operating funds to build, support, and maintain Davidson's 21 intercollegiate varsity athletic teams. Parents may direct gifts to specific sports teams.
WDAV 89.9 Classical Public Radio
WDAV is a listener-supported public radio service, providing classical music and cultural arts programming 24 hours a day.
Friends of the Arts
Davidson College Friends of the Arts is a donor-supported organization that informs and energizes audiences for the arts at the college, strengthens the bonds between the college and the larger community, and serves as a unifying cultural force in the region. Strongly rooted in the college's commitment to enrich mind, body, and spirit, Friends of the Arts is dedicated to arts education and increasing visibility and support of the arts at Davidson College.
