What is the Parent Fund? Each year, thousands of parents make gifts to the Annual Fund, a vital source of unrestricted revenue that accounts for 10% of the college’s operating budget. The Parent Fund is part of the Annual Fund and is supported by non-alumni parents. Gifts from these parents influence the lives of all students and support the heart of Davidson by providing scholarships, library resources, technological upgrades, athletic equipment and much more. In 2006, Parents were up to the Challenge! The Goal: Raise $750,000 for the Parent Fund The Challenge: Exceed the goal by $50,000 The Reward: Additional $50,000 gift from two anonymous donors The Result: Challenge met; original goal exceeded by $123,035 In fiscal year 2006, 31.4% of parents gave to the Parent Fund.
