HR's Mission and Vision

Mission Statement

The Human Resources Department is committed to partnering with the Davidson College community in identifying and responding to the College’s changing needs. We will facilitate greater productivity and effectiveness by promoting and recruiting the best qualified people. We will foster an environment that values diversity, employee development and honest feedback. Through sound policies and practices we will balance the needs of the employees and the needs of the college while ensuring compliance with federal and state laws. By serving as knowledgeable resources and advisors to faculty and staff, we actively support the college's mission of education and service.

Vision Statement

HR will be a catalyst, increasing the success of every Davidson College employee by facilitating employee development; building fair, consistent, clear and innovative HR solutions; and providing accurate, practical, reliable and timely information for the College’s business decisions and for employees. We will maintain a dedicated focus on continuous improvement and customer service, and we will remain committed to the Davidson tradition of excellence in education and emphasis on family. We will provide strategic leadership, modeling excellence, honesty, integrity and teamwork in everything we do.
