The parlor is named to recognize the generous support of Marcia Bell Mitchell, daughter of Samuel Henry Bell, class of 1870. In 1962, Mrs. Mitchell’s bequest to the college was the largest to date by a single donor ($835,000), which she gave to honor her father.
