Networking

Networking is the most successful job search strategy.  It involves making an initial contact with someone, and maintaining that contact by following up in a polite and professional way.  Networking does not include asking for a job right away, which is often the mistake that is made when contacting alumni or meeting someone for the first time.

A networking contact involves a relationship that must be nurtured and developed over time so that trust and credibility can be created.  Find out more on networking by clicking the links below.

What is Networking?
Networking is the number one method of finding jobs. Approximately 80% of positions are obtained through networking, and only about 5 - 14% through advertised vacancies.
