All incoming students have accounts created for them automatically.  Account information is mailed to them before they arrive on campus.  Passwords to Davidson accounts should never be shared with anyone.  The following is a description of some of the accounts students will receive.

• Network account:  Used for email, logging on to lab computers, and accessing servers on campus.
• Blackboard account:  Used by students who enroll in classes where faculty use a course management software (called Blackboard) to run the class.
• Web Tree account:  Used to register for classes.
