July Experience students live on single-sex corridors in a co-ed residence hall.  All college buildings, including residence halls, are air-conditioned.  Students take meals in the Vail Commons dining facility and have full access to the E. H. Little LibraryThe Alvarez College Union, Baker Sports Complex and nearby Lake Campus are centers for recreational and group activities.

Illness or accidents occurring during the program will be treated by a local Davidson physician.  Students are covered with limited accident insurance.

Hall Counselors are upperclassmen chosen from the Davidson College student body on the basis of academic ability, sensitivity to others, maturity, skills and experience.  Often, some of the Hall Counselors are July Experience alumni.  They live in the residence halls and are assigned responsibility for ten July Experience students.  Hall Counselors assist students in any way possible and are responsible for ensuring that students are aware of and abide by the rules of the program.
